Self Defense Instructors Training Course – in conjunction with The Wingate Institute
The first training course will be run in conjunction with the ’Berlin Center’, the Jerusalem branch of The Wingate Institute. The courses are run by El Halev’s most experienced instructors while working with the professional staff of The Wingate Institute. The program will include the following: self defense techniques taken from the different martial arts, the mental dynamics of sexual attacks, statistics, verbal and non verbal techniques of setting boundaries, dealing with weapons, inter-personal dynamics and building a course schedule. Upon completion of the course the instructors work very closely with the Self Defense coordinator at El Halev, and enjoy the benefit of our rich information database of self defense materials in general and self defense for women in particular. During the year, we have seminars and special classes for the instructors which provide them with additional skills and train them to work with special populations such as seniors, victims of sexual assault, teens at risk, children and more. Times and dates: Days: Tuesday Times: 9:00-15:00 Opening date: 13/10/09 Ending date: 13/04/10 Requirements: - At least 12 years experience. - Age 18+ - A doctor’s note approving your health - Brown or black belt. - A certified instructors certificate - A recommendation from your instructor Entrance exam: Personal skills, interview.
