Goal:
To provide a nationwide social and professional framework for women of all ages who have chosen the martial arts as a hobby, a sport or a way of life.
Advantages:
• Personal enrichment through being part of a unique nationwide group of women who will share knowledge and experiences as participant and instructors in the martial arts • Professional advancement through gaining experience in a wide range of martial art methodologies and through exposure to a wide range of knowledge related to the practice and teaching of the martial arts, e.g. health, physiology, stress management, and self-defense • Recognition for sportswomen and instructors who invest time and effort in their training, increasing the accessibility of the martial arts for other women around the country • Motivation and Networking to help for women to continue to advance in their chosen fields throughout their lives. It is our belief, that women at the brown and black belt level are the leading force for change in regards to the ability of women to excel in the martial arts. We feel that encouraging their participation and cultivating their advancement is a high priority. We are constantly on the lookout for martial arts groups throughout the country with whom we can share information about the club’s activities and with whom we can work together toward our goal of advancing women in the martial arts.
