El HaLev grants scholarships to women interested in studying self-defense or the martial arts who would otherwise find it difficult to do so owing to financial constraints.
Last year, the scholarship fund dispensed $10,000 to eligible candidates to allow them to take self defense, personal development and martial arts classes.
These classes are designed especially for women and are geared to increase their inner strength and self image, as well as to empower them with the tools they need to defend themselves in case of need.
Statistics:
-1 in every 3 women will be attacked once in her lifetime
-1 in every 5 women will be raped once in her lifetime
Please help break the cycle of victim-hood and empower women to succeed and accomplish their dreams.
We encourage you to sponsorship a woman/girl for one of the following courses:
- Basic Self-Defense course at a cost of $100 per student
- Impact Self-Defense 25 hour course at a cost of $300 per student
- Year long Martial Arts course (current offerings include karate, taekwondo, judo, street fighting, krav maga, aikido, capoeira, jujitsu and kickboxing) at a cost of $400 per student
